       Every Sunday, I like to promote some of my favorite small businesses right here on my blog. As a small business owner I can personally tell you that every time you shop with me, the money goes towards ballet lessons, food on my table, gas in my car and more! Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites 

• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 3 tablespoons of half and half
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1/3 cup flour
• 2/3 cup mini chocolate chips

For the coating:

• Melt Velata Chocolate in a Velata Fondue Warmer

For YEARS I kept my door shut to the opportunity of joining a direct sales company. I sat back and watched as consultants from a number of different companies presented me with chances to join their team and sell their "amazing" products. There was no doubt that some of these people LOVED what they did and stood by their products, but I never thought I could feel the same way. I came up with every excuse in the book.

Some popular excuses I had included:

I don't have the time (lie)

There are too many consultants (lie;not all of them work their business)

I don't really know anyone (lie)

I will probably fail (fear)

My husband won't let me (lie...and funny!)

I just don't have the extra money to invest in a starter kit (At times true, but still an excuse!)

These excuses were some of the MANY I came up with in order to shut the door on opportunity! Finally, in late 2012 I did it! I opened the door on opportunity! After being a Scentsy customer for YEARS, I took the leap and joined in! I'm not going to lie, I was scared! Well...let me tell ya...it was THE BEST business decision I have made! You never know how supportive friends and family are until you do something like this! I started with Scentsy Fragrance and had an AMAZING first few months! Within my first 2 months I was promoted...TWICE! I had AMAZING sales and everyone loved the product! It's because I did too! My excuses disappeared and suddenly I felt on top of the world! I've met new and amazing people and since 80% of my business is online sales, I still have plenty of time to do the things I love! My only regret is shutting the door on the opportunity for so long! But it's wide open now and the breeze is AMAZING! :-D
